About this deal

it seems to best align with this release, yet also has a matte cover and sleeve like the comment below. Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi" and "Reckoner" both appear to be the odd cousins of John Fruscianti’s California funk, in which both the drums are mixed high, giving your heart something to worry about. At times it’s hard not wince in familiarity yet he is not wallowing in self-pity, he is human and articulate and unfortunately for us, we know where he’s coming from.

Luckily, the music matches the hype--it takes the best part of Radiohead's previous works and advances the formula even further. On 'Amnesiac', which Radiohead made during the same recording sessions that yielded "Kid A", the band set out to erase all that their listeners once expected. Yorke, in reference to the lyrical content on the album, has said "It's about that anonymous fear thing, sitting in traffic, thinking, 'I'm sure I'm supposed to be doing something else'.

In Rainbows is the sound of a band who effortlessly straddle the avant garde/popular divide, and also sound like they actually enjoy being themselves again.

As "15 Steps" transitions from an electro beat to a full band number, the currents drag you deep into Radiohead’s idiosyncrasies, by the time Bodysnatchers hits (and it doesn’t half hit) nothing else seems to matter but the burnt out kraut hook and Yorke’s pained whines. All I Need" is a string-drenched song of desire and dependency, but comes equipped with lines like: 'I'm the next step waiting in the wings. The press was not only enthusiastic about the band's novel publishing channels, but also convinced of the quality of the music. While the opener "15 Step"--all skittering drum patterns and dub-style bass--may hark back to the electronica of Kid A , the sound soon gives way to a more guitar-based sound.
